Wanda and Bronek are happy to be together again. Bronek puts Wanda and Helena in a safe apartment. He arranges papers for them. At Kercelak, Michał sees his mother for the first time in years. Romek consoles the desperate Lena. She says she should be thinking about the baby. Lena worries that the interrogations will break Janek. The branch is pleased with the response of the action on the German station, which is loud in the newspapers. Krawiec says that he knows Rainer’s plan for Janek, but confirms that Janek has not betrayed anyone. The tailor asks Władek to tell his mother to try to find information in the governor’s villa. Fischer regrets not having liquidated Rainer. He’s sure he’s behind Blazer’s disappearance. The Ottoman woman brings a copy of Vermeer’s painting, Girl with a Pearl, purchased at the bazaar. Ruda tells Władek that she saw Osmańska meeting a man in the park. They go to the warehouse, where Władek recognizes the companion of Osmańska. This is the Russian Dykov. Rainer makes Janek an offer. She tells him to continue playing the role of his fiancé. This is the only way they can find the documents that Ottoman still has. Władek tells the commanders that Ottoman had deceived them. Lena checks the address provided by Osmańska in Poznań. She learns from the caretaker that the real Ottoman died in the camp. Maria sneaks into Fischer’s office. He’s searching his office. Fischer catches her. Fischerowa saves her from oppression. Explains, that she sent Maria for the weight. A distrustful Fisher checks Maria. She learns that she is the mother of Polish underground activists known to Germany. Lena returns from Poznan with information about Osmanska, however
